Larry Federico, M.A.

Senior Educational Consultant

Since 2005, Larry Federico has been an educational consultant at DataWORKS Educational Research. He has provided Professional Development and Coaching services for K-12 Special Education, English Language Learners, and Classroom Management Strategies for hundreds of teachers and schools nationwide.

Teachers speak highly of Larry’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and insights into effective instructional practices. Many schools request his return for follow-up training. He has published Gestures forthe K-12 Classroom, a handbook for teachers, as well as contributing strategies to the bestselling EDI for English Learners by John Hollingsworth and Dr. Silvia Ybarra.

Larry has worked at DataWORKS for more than 15 years as an Educational Consultant.

Prior to his career with DataWORKS, Larry served as adjunct professor at California State University Fresno, University of Northern Colorado, and Fresno City College. He has also taught in high schools in California and worked as a K-6 Specialist Teacher in Greeley, CO. In addition, he served as vice-president for the New Mexico American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, and helped set up distance learning programs for Native American tribes in the Albuquerque area.

Larry has a Master’s degree in Education from California State University Fresno and has completed graduate work, except for the dissertation (delayed by family health concerns), for his Ed.D. degree from the University of Northern Colorado. His Bachelor’s degree in science was from Fresno Pacific University. Larry is also a veteran, having served as an officer with the U.S. Marine Corps and later entered the Naval Aviation Flight Program in Pensacola, FL.

Larry is a fitness enthusiast, an avid fisherman, and an aspiring novelist and illustrator. His wide educational background – in elementary, special education, high school, college, and distance
learning – make him a well-rounded consultant who can guide teachers to increased success in the classroom.
