Cynthia Kampf Ed. D.
Dr. Cynthia Kampf worked in California public schools for 32 years before retiring to work at DataWORKS. She taught in elementary and middle schools. Her 26 years of administrative experience include serving as a middle school vice-principal and principal, elementary principal, district office director of categorical programs, director of K-8 education (including supervision of 17 principals), director of testing, accountability and after-school programs, assistant superintendent of educational services, and acting superintendent. She was principal of one of California’s first Distinguished Schools.
She has helped over 25 districts in all aspects of DataWORKS services.
Dr. Kampf’s district hired DataWORKS in 1999 to work with three underperforming schools. DataWORKS Curriculum Calibration was refined during that process. When Dr. Kampf learned of the new efforts in Explicit Direct Instruction, she was drawn to the DataWORKS vision to assist schools in improving grade-level instruction for ALL students. She has helped over 25 districts in all aspects of DataWORKS services.
Dr. Kampf earned a B.A. and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from California Lutheran University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. She lives in Lompoc with her husband Greg who is superintendent of the Lompoc Unified School District. Their four grown daughters live in California and have followed their parents’ path into careers in public education.
