For more than thirty-five years, Bert Goldhammer has been a teacher, a vice principal, a principal, a director of pupil personnel services and a college professor. Bert takes pride in the success he had in helping a school embrace true instructional reform. By building consensus within each grade level and then extending, through vertical teaming, a shared-vision of ideology and methodology, Bert helped create a cohesive school-wide program of standard-based instruction and authentic assessment. This model became the standard for the District and which eventually throughout the County.

Bert holds an M.A. in Special Education from Pacific Lutheran University as well as a Program Specialist Credential from Washington State (PPS) and Clear Administrative Credentials form California and Tennessee. Bert provides DataWORKS Consultant services to schools and districts primarily in Tennessee.
Bert served as a keynote speaker for the Association of California School Administrators in the area of Special Education, emphasizing the need for school administrators to know the laws, be familiar with best practices and above all else, show empathy for parents and their advocates. Bert has also helped successfully mediate disputes for Districts in California, Washington and Tennessee, exercising his ability to work with small rural Districts as well as large urban Districts towards comprehensive reform.
