Instructional Leadership Workshop
Instructional leadership is absolutely necessary if school reform efforts are going to improve student achievement. The Instructional Leadership Workshop is an all day (one to two day) staff development that trains administrators how to address instructional processes: measure, monitor . . . make better. The workshop includes developing and writing schoolwide achievement goals to measure students (outputs) and process goals to measure teaching (inputs). The approach is based on the premise of improving inputs (instruction) to produce better outputs (student achievement).
Instructional Leadership Classroom Coaching
During the Instructional Leadership Classroom Coaching, school leaders are trained how to provide classroom coaching to teachers. School leaders and a DataWORKS researcher go into the classroom together. Leaders are trained in using a coaching rubric that provides specific measurements of effective teaching practices. Leaders then provide concrete coaching to individual teachers in a non-judgmental manner. This session trains leaders how to provide classroom coaching to improve the effectiveness of classroom instruction.
Instructional Leadership Web Site Monitoring
Instructional Leadership Web Site Monitoring provides administrator training in using a web based application to collect, monitor, and measure student achievement and teaching processes data with the goal to: measure, monitor . . . make better.
